About Continuing Education
Assessment requirements for Distance Learning Students
  • All new Distance Learning students pursuing a degree program (i.e., AA, AAS, or AGS) must meet the assessment requirements for Aims Community College. Students who are pursuing a degree cannot begin courses until Aims has their assessments completed or on file.
  • Distance Learning students pursuing a certificate, taking courses for personal interest, or transferring to another institution do not have to meet the assessment requirements, such as English, Math, etc. However, if the student wishes to change his or her status from certificate to degree seeking, the student must be in compliance with the new assessment requirements.
  • If you need to take the Accuplacer Placement Test, please have a proctor fill out the Accuplacer Proctor Form.
