Conversational Spanish Part 1

This course is for students with little or no previous Spanish experience. Basic conversational skills will be developed through a study of Spanish pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and culture. At the end of the course, the student will have the necessary linguistic tools and will have practiced conversing in several, specific and important everyday situations.

PREREQUISITE: None

Program Cost:  $160 (additional cost for text required)

Conversational Spanish Part 2

Practice in basic conversation and limited study of basic grammar continue while an effort is made to accommodate the students more specific needs and interests.

PREREQUISITE: CED290 Conversational Spanish Part 1 or basic knowledge of conversational Spanish.

Community Spanish

The overall goal is to prepare English-speaking people to speak and understand small amounts of general and basic Spanish found in most routine interchanges in daily life. In addition, Community Spanish provides basic cultural information about Spanish-speaking groups in the hope of informing and educating English-speakers about unique aspects of Latino culture. Command Spanish® for Retail Sales

Designed to give office staff the specific language skills they need to assist their Spanish-speaking customers and clients more effectively. Class will include greeting customers, making appointments; gathering personal data; assisting walk-in customers; and dealing with disgruntled clients. No prior knowledge of Spanish necessary. This course will teach the international Traveler key phrases to make the journey easier. Come learn the Italian language, pronunciation, menu instructions, greetings, etiquette, introductions, numbers, compliments/likes/dislikes, taxi directions, hotel needs, communication strategies, shopping key words and emergencies, telephone etiquette; as well as, common first and last names. Instructor: Pasquali D’Angelo
