About Continuing Education

The successful project/program manager uses numerous cost and time management techniques to bring the project to a successful completion. The book Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) assigns one section each to Time Management and Cost Management. This class will review the major processes in each section.  Note: This course is part of the curriculum for the Project Management Certificate Program. Risk Management

This course will discuss the development of a risk management plan which will assist the project/program manager in identifying and controlling factors that are likely to impact the project's Scope, Quality, Time and Cost. This course will review the four major processes of Project Risk Management: Risk Identification, Risk Quantification, Risk Response Development, Risk Response and Control. Note: This course is part of the curriculum for the Project Management Certificate Program. Prerequisite: CED 523 Project Planning and Management.

Quality Management

This course shows you how quality management concepts integrate with project management practices to create a system for planning and executing successful projects. Team Dynamics

This course will show you how to identify strengths and weaknesses within individual work styles. The course will teach you PMI's human resource project management concepts, and will help you communicate with your teams better by understanding the obstacles that dynamic teams are faced with.   Note: This course is part of the curriculum for the Project Management Certificate Program. Project Management Fundamentals

This class is for the project manager who is interested in learning the basic tools and techniques from project inception to successful closure.  Students in this class will focus on overall management concepts, tools and methods during interactive class sessions and hands-on exercises. This class will not focus on teaching PMI methodology and is not part of the Aims Project Management Certificate program. It is not designed to prepare you for the PMP exam.
