Excel 2003 Workshop Seminar -

1-day seminar covers three Excel 2003 levels - “Beginners”, “Intermediate” and “Advanced”.

PREREQUISITE: Windows - Level 1 or equivalent experience. Excel 2003 also applicable to Excel 2002 users.

Excel is an electronic spreadsheet that performs numeric calculations rapidly and accurately. Participants will learn to recognize and use different elements of the Excel window; will plan and build worksheets, enter text, copy and move entries, and enter values and formulas. Emphasis will be placed on formatting worksheet values, selecting fonts and point sizes, inserting and deleting rows and columns, applying colors, patterns, and checking spelling.

In addition, learn to convert information to the visual format of a chart, plan and design, create, edit and enhance a chart, and add text annotations and arrows to a chart; learn the importance of using formulas as a powerful data analysis software tool, as well as creating formulas and using statistical functions.

Excel 2003 Expert Workshop Seminar -

_________________________________________________________________________________________________

1-day seminar covers two Excel 2003 levels - “Expert” and “Expert Pro”.

Participants will learn how to create macros, to automate frequently performed Excel tasks that require a series of steps. Participants will learn formulas and how to convert information to the visual format of a chart, plan, design, create, edit and enhance a chart, and add text annotations and arrows to a chart. In addition, students will practice planning, creating and editing a list; sorting and printing a list; as well as filtering lists using AutoFilters.

Please bring a writable CD.

PREREQUISITE: CED-762: Excel 2003 Workshop Seminar. Excel 2003 also applicable to

Excel 2002 users.

Excel 2003–Advanced, Intermediate & Beginner

Participants will learn the importance of using formulas as a powerful data analysis tool. Topics include creating formulas with several operations, generating multiple totals with AutoSum, using the IF and PMT functions, and using statistical functions. Other Excel features covered will help students manage and print workbooks by freezing columns and rows, inserting and deleting sheets, hiding and protecting worksheet areas, numbering pages, and setting margins.

PREREQUISITE: This is now part of the Workshop Seminar

PREREQUISITE: CED-836 Excel -Level 4 or equivalent experience. Excel 2003 also applicable to Excel 2002 users
